On yesterday, January 28, 2004, I had a short conversation with a radio talk show host concerning the legality of the income tax. This radio personality stated that he hates the income tax, but we must obey the law and change the laws by going to the ballot box and voting for legislators that will enact change.

I know that this does not work, as several groups and individuals have attempted to educate elected officials and judges, and have delivered proof that the federal income tax is being misrepresented and misapplied to the American people. However, I knew that I would not have time to explain these details to this talk show host and his audience.

Therefore, I decided to ask him this question: "Would you have told Rosa Parks that, like it or not, she must sit on the back of the bus because it is the law?" He went off into this spill about how the civil rights movement's use of civil disobedience is just not the same as the "tax honesty movement" (the movement to expose the fraud at the IRS and highest levels of this countries monetary system, the movement to eliminate the income tax on a persons wage, and free those in prison for standing for truth).

I persisted in telling him that these movements are, in fact, the same. Shortly thereafter, I was cut off of the show.

As I thought about the parity between the civil rights movement and the tax honesty movement, I did find a difference. The difference is that the laws of the segregated south (Jim Crow laws) did state that black people had to sit at the back of the bus, drink from "colored" water fountains, and order food at the back door of restaurants. However, the income tax laws do not state that most citizens that live and work in the several states of the union are liable for the income tax.

Countless researchers, in their own different ways, have come to this conclusion. The Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Federalist Papers, the Internal Revenue Codes and Regulations all state that only certain individuals are liable for the income tax - those that are non-resident aliens, foreign corporations, and citizens of the states that obtain most of their resources from abroad. That is only a very select group.

Lets pretend:

Lets say it's September 1955 and Lilly Sparks, a black maid, stumbled into the local law library. She had a little time on her hands and decided to look up the laws pertaining to segregation. The words were confusing to her, and there were volumes upon volumes of books to review. She decided to come back the next evening, and the next; curious about how the segregation laws were enacted.

Then, one evening she came to a startling discovery; the law does say that colored people must sit at the back of the bus, BUT IT SAYS ONLY COLORED PEOPLE WITH GREEN EYES!

Ms. Sparks then showed others her discovery, but the black people in her environment, being heavily beaten down by the system, refused to listen. They had no documentation that proved that she was wrong - they just did not want to "rock the boat" or "make any trouble".

Finally Ms. Sparks decided to take a stand. She knew that she knew, that the law said that only colored people with green eyes had to sit in the back of the bus, and her eyes were brown. So, three months after she thoroughly researched the laws and their original intent, she sat in the front of the bus. The bus driver told her, "get to the back of the bus nigger", but she did not move. With her copy of the law in her hand, she sat there, proud as a peacock.

When the police officer came, she proudly showed him the law. The police officer read the section of the law, read it again, and then tore her paper into little pieces. "I don't care what the law says lady, you have to get in the back of this bus". "Why"? asked Ms. Sparks. "I showed you in the law, that only colored people with green eyes have to sit in the back of the bus". "Because its what we have done for years and years. Its our tradition, its what the powers that be want", said the police officer.

Ms. Sparks then had a decision to make: "Will I bend to tradition and status quo, or will I choose civil disobedience and stay planted in this seat", she thought to herself.

You all know what happened next in December of 1955.

We are in a critical time here in 2004. We have shown lawmakers, law enforcers, elected officials and appointed officials that, based on THE LAW, the income tax is not to be applied to a workers wages, yet they ignore us in favor of the status quo, the money machine, the powers that be.

Are we going to continue to beg them to obey the law and admit the truth, or are we going to take a bolder stand? Are we going to stay quiet so as to not "make any waves" or are we going to develop some rock solid balls and rise up against tyranny!

IF YOU STOP FEEDING THE MONSTER IT WILL STOP GROWING!

Thus many Americans have decided to begin mass nonviolent civil disobedience by refusing to hand over their hard earned resources to a tyrannical agency/government.

You have a choice to make. Will you bow low to the status quo to save your own skin, or will you fight for our children, for our future, for our liberty. Will you live free or die an economic slave?

"Those who profess to favor freedom, yet deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightening. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will." Frederick Douglass
